Managing Your Connections

Technical Issues
If you are experiencing connection issues, check the Global Status Banner inside the app. It will tell you if you are properly connected to the DHT routing network or if you are completely offline. You can also view detailed networking stats by tapping the status indicator in your Profile menu.
Data Recovery
Please remember that Mercury stores all data locally on your device. Eillance cannot recover lost messages for you.
- If you lost your device, use your 12-word recovery phrase to restore your identity on a new phone.
- To migrate full chat histories and contacts to a new phone (when you have your old one), use the Backup and Restore feature to generate a secure
